Memory Practice
Other Specialties
Memory Practice is both a preventive and curative therapy for people whose memories are not as sharp as they used to, particularly those in their senior years. They may experience the following:
- I have been quite forgetful lately. Am I beginning to have Alzheimer’s?
- I am having some pains for which my doctors say there is no medical reason.
- I am at the twilight of my years but am experiencing emptiness and despair. Am I depressed?
It is often very puzzling to adult children if their parents are beginning to have dementia, or are getting depressed in their old age, or both.
I would like to introduce a new dementia diagnostic test. It is called the RBANS™, Repeatable Battery for the Assessment of Neuropsychological Status. It is very useful for differential diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease, vascular damage, post-head trauma, and especially depression and other psychiatric disorders. It is repeatable up to four times to be able to track the gradual deterioration, comparative to baseline testing, of mental functions, especially among the elderly.
I can help you… let’s talk.
